The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 8, 1975, p. 1 Women killed in Highway Crash A 34 year-old Wickenburg woman was killed Sunday night in a one-vehicle crash north of here. Sarah L. Schmoyer died when her automobile left Highway 89 about 10 and a half miles north of Wickenburg and overturned. The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported her auto was traveling at an excessive rate of speed when the accident occurred, She was not wearing a seat belt. Investigating officers said the cause of the crash was not immediately determined. It was reported to the police department by Allen Fredinberg of Wickenburg. Fredinberg told officers he saw debris in the roadway, stopped and discovered the wreckage. Schmoyer Services were held in Prescott May 8 for Sarah Lee Schmoyer, 34 who died from injures suffered in an automobile accident May 4. Born August 23, 1941 in San Diego, California, she spent most of her life in Arizona. She attended St. Joseph's Academy in Prescott. She lived for the past nine years in Wickenburg. She is survived by her husband Wayne, a daughter, Deborah, a son Phillip, mother and father of Prescott and a brother in Prescott.
