The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 22, 1975, p. 14 Joseph B. Plosser Joseph B. Plosser was born August 23, 1896 in Birmingham, Alabama, and died in Memorial Hospital, Wickenburg, May 9, 1975. He enlisted in the Army as a Flying Cadet November 9, 1917, and was commissioned Second Lieutenant, Air Service, June 25, 1918. he served as a pilot instructor through World War I. Aviation continued to be his career and he trained pilots in his own flying school before and during World War II. Through he was variously a uranium prospector, mine owner and cattle rancher, he continued flying activities until 1959. he has been a resident of Congress, Arizona, since October, 1960 Survivors include his wife Margaret; two sons, Joseph, Jr. of Union City, California, and William of Sacramento, Calif.; a daughter, Margaret Pratley of Laguna Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Locke of Birmingham, Alabama, and nieces and nephews.
