DUMKE, Chester Herman

Heritage Funeral Chapel Peoria, Arizona Chester Herman Dumke, 89, of Glendale Arizona passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 under the care of Prime Care Hospice of Glendale. Chet was born September 10, 1920 in Milwaukee, WI and married Ellen Lucille Griffin of Chicago, IL on February 10, 1945. He graduated from the University of Chicago and went to work for the Honeywell Corp. Chet retired from Honeywell as a production manager in 1982 and moved to Glendale. He enjoyed working with his hands, including sculpture, baking, and creating many peices of ornate stained glass. Family members that passed before Chet include his brother Roy, wife Ellen and son Peter. Chet is surved by his sister, Myrtle Whitcomb of Milwaukee, WI; his children Therese Hagelaur, Paul Dumke, J R Griffin, John Dumke and Toni Ann Kline; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Chet's ashes will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Glendale, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the House Ear Institute, 2100 W.
