HAMILTON, Gilbert Farrell


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 7, 1975, p. 6 Gilbert Farrell Hamilton, 70, of 730-C Cieneguitas Road, died Sunday in the home of his son, Peter F. Hamilton, of Santa Barbara, California. He was born March 26, 1905 at Bloomfield, New Jersey, where he was reared. He was also employed by the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company there. He was also a member of Bloomfield Lodge F and A M. He married in 1928 at Glen Ridge, NJ to the former Alma Gahs, who also survives, along with two daughter, Susan R. Hamilton, of Oakland, Cal., and Mrs. Lois H. Waters, Wickenburg, Arizona. Three grandchildren also survive. Mr. Hamilton served in World War II, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel. He moved to Mill Valley in 1946, then was employed by the Frigidaire Division of General Motors at Oakland, and became sales manager of the coriportion's western division. He retired in 1970, moving to Sun City for three years – and then to Santa Barbara in 1973. Arrangements are by McDermott-Crockett mortuary. No formal services will be held.
