The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 11, 1975, p. 1 Trailer fire kills owner A Wickenburg man burned to death last Thursday when his trailer caughter fire in Constellation park approximate one mile north of Highway 60. Police identified the victim as Fred Walter Johnson, approximately 78 years old. Police determined Johnson was a retired World War I Navy veteran, who lived in Congress and Prescott during the summer and spent the winter months in his 12- foot aluminum trailer in various locations around Wickenburg. The Wickenburg Volunteer Fire Department reached the fire at approximately 1:30 p.m. The trailer and its contents were destroyed by the time the blaze was brought under control by the department approximately 15 minutes later. Wickenburg Police Sgt. Karl Miller said the cause of the fire is under investigation. Johnson is not believed to have any living relatives.
