Patricia Ann "Patty" Walker, 72, died peacefully Oct. 23, 2004 at the RTA Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Lakeside.
Patty was born in Denver, Colorado June 15, 1932. She moved to Tucson, AZ in 1968 where she lived until 1992 when she moved to Snowflake. She was an active member of the Immanuel Evangical Lutheran Church and in her community. Her faith, like her well-worn Bible, was an inspiration to all who knew her. She taught Sunday school, provided food for church functions, and was dedicated to helping develop educational programs for children with disabilities.
She was, and still is, loved by all whose lives she touched. Patty was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Patty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ray Walker of Snowflake; her children, Steven (Cathy) Walker of Portland Oregon, Wendy (Curt) Meyer of Tucson, Lance (Linda) Walker of Tucson and Nancy Davenport of Gainesville, Georgia; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Harriet Habinck of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Helen (Tom) Sater of Eads, Tennessee.
A celebration of her life and memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at Immanuel Evangical Lutheran Church in Taylor with Pastor Ditter officiating. A reception will be held by the Ladies Guild immediately following the memorial.
The family kindly request that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the American Cancer Society to RTA Hospice and Palliative Care Center.
