Lopachuk, William G.
William G. Lopachuk, 86, of Stockton, California, entered into rest on November 30, 2003, at his residence of natural causes. He was born on March 5, 1917 in Chicago, where he grew up and attended local schools. During his youth he was active in Scouting, and became a Eagle Scout. On September 20, 1938, he married Mary C. Jose-fowicz, and the couple later moved to California in 1941. During his professional career he lived in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, later moving to Arizona in 1994. In 2002, he came back to California and settled in Stockton. He enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and lived there on and off for almost 30 years. Mr. Lopachuk was a retired real estate broker after 30 years in that profession. During his life he was active in many fraternal and civic organizations and was a Past Master of Hayward Lodge Free and Accepted Masons, Coast Guard Auxiliary Commander, a longtime member of the Lions Club, a Yacht Club Commander, and Past President of the Alameda County Board of Realtors. Mr. Lopachuk is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mrs. Mary Constance Lopachuk of Stockton; two daughters, Barbara Dittman of Brentwood and Carla Guidry of Twain Harte; a son, William John Lopachuk of Dublin; and a sister Margaret Thomsen of Chico. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Michael, Jeffrey and Daniel Dittman; Danielle, Kevin, Kimberly, Cody, Sam and Scooter Guidry; and Kayce, Kallie and Christina Lopachuck; and 8 great-grandchildren: Anna, Michelle, Matthew, Jacob Hanna, Rachael and Amy Dittman; Courtney and Brenden Guidry. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at Frisbie-Warren and Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street in Stockton, CA.
