Orlinda Nelson Fiscel, Born September 29, 1908; passed away at the age of 95 on Nov-ember 27, 2003. Orlinda moved to Tucson with her mother and her sister Gertrude Nelson (Brooks). A strong believer in the importance of education, she graduated from Tucson High School and the University of Arizona. She moved to Casa Grande, AZ where she taught high school until her marriage to Louis O. Fiscel in May of 1933. They made their home in Florence, AZ until 1951 when they returned to Tucson. Orlinda enjoyed being a homemaker, playing bridge with friends and clubwork. She belonged to P.E.O. and was president of the Southern Arizona Society of Civil Engineers Auxiliary. She was very active in the Arizona Federation of Women's Clubs, eventually serving as state president, then national representative to international clubs. She is survived by daughters Karen Sue Fiscel and Linda Lou Fiscel Sottnek; grandchildren Jeanne S. Wildman and Julie S. Perez; and great grandchild Zach Wildman. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, at Grace Lutheran Church, 830 N. 1st Avenue followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by Adair Dodge, Tucson, AZ.
