HAMLIN, Gorden E.


Hamlin, Gordon E. Gordon E. Hamlin, passed away suddenly at the age of 61, on November 29, 2003. He was born in Red Oak, Iowa and moved to Phoenix in 1982. He was a draftsman by trade and his passion was singing barbershop. He pursued his passion for 23 years. He sang with the Phoenicians from 1988 until this year. He leaves behind his wife, Marianne Boeck-Hamlin, two daughters, Heather (Stacy) Everman, and Stephanie (Gerald) Welder of Iowa, two brothers, Max (Judy) Hamlin of Phoenix and Norman (Marie) Hamlin of Grant's Pass, Oregon, and a sister, Jann (Gary) Williams of Hot Springs, Arkansas, two stepsons, Scott (Michelle) Boeck of Glendale, and Aaron (Jen) Boeck of California, and eight grandchildren, Misty, Lacie, Seth, Damon, Jake, Kaylee, Alanna and Jacob, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria. Funeral services will be held immediately afterwards at 6:00 p.m. Published in the Arizona Republic on 12/3/2003.
