Arizona Republic, Phoeni, Arizona December 4, 2003 Terry Baxter Marsh, 61, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on December 1, 2003. Mr. Marsh served in the United States Air Force. Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 2:00PM with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Best Funeral Services Chapel, 501 E. Dunlap Ave. Phoenix, AZ. Contributions: Autism Society of American. ----------------------- Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona December 6, 2003 Terry Baxter Marsh, born to his parents, William Charles Marsh and Inez Ponder Marsh in Lafayette, Georgia, on June 25, 1942, passed away December 1, 2003. Terry Baxter Marsh grew up in Akron, OH, and graduated from the University of Akron, where he was a local football, basket- ball, and track star. After completing ROTC in college, he was a Captain in the United States Air Force. He was married to Rita Wilson and of that union was born a son, Terry. After completing his duty and leaving military service, he worked in management for several large manufacturing firms in Erie, PA, Springfield, MA, and Phoenix, AZ. Terry then followed his heart and answered the calling to work with and teach autistic children here in the Phoenix area. This was the delight and fulfillment of his life, to make a difference through advocacy and education for his students, who were very dear to him. His impact on his students, their parents, and his peers was the result of his passion for their wholeness and wellbeing and the high standards by which he lived his life. He is survived by his son, Terry, daughter-in-law, Jill, and 1 year old grandson, Cole, of Fairfax, VA; two brothers, Ronald Marsh, and Charles Marsh; a sister, Phyliss Marsh Stanley, all of Akron, OH, nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, andhis uncle and aunt, Benjamin and Nellie Ponder. Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 2:00PM with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Best Funeral Services Chapel, 501 E. Dunlap Ave. Phoenix, AZ.
