The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, December 04, 2003 Pattey Janesko, 47, beloved wife, mother, "Nana", daughter, sister and aunt, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Tempe on Nov. 29, 2003. She was born in St. Joseph, MO on Aug. 4, 1956. She was married to her surviving husband John Janesko on May 23, 1981 in Kansas City, KS. Also surviving are daughter Summer Thomas, her husband Jeff and their children Brittany and Dylan, all of Parker, AZ, parents Frank and Pat Baker of Dora, MO, and many loving sisters, brothers, their spouses and children, most of whom live in the Kansas City area. Pattey also leaves behind two dogs, Jordan and Lynzey, whom she dearly loved. Pattey recently embarked on a new career as an elementary school teacher. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Ottawa University in Jan, 2002 and had completed her student teaching program. Pattey loved children and had a way of connecting with them that made her an excellent teacher. Prior to that, Pattey had a successful career as a flight attendant and flight attendant instructor at America West Airlines. Pattey enjoyed gardening, crafts, decorating and cooking. A memorial service will be held at Maywood Community Church, 11201 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS, 66109 at 4:00 pm on Dec. 6, 2003. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any school district in Pattey's honor. We are all one family in God. Your sorrows and joys are mine, and mine are yours.
