OWENS, Mary Lou

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, December 9, 2003 Mary Lou Owens, Beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Mary Lou Owens, passed away on Thursday, December 4th. Born in Janesville, Wisconsin on November 28, 1935, she relocated to Roswell, New Mexico after marrying Gail Owens on June 16, 1956. Both employed by what was then the Telephone Company. Gail and Mary made the decision to transfer to Arizona in 1957-they still live in the same house they had built 42 years ago. While we take comfort in knowing that Mary is with her Heavenly Father, she will be deeply missed by her husband Gail, daughter Heather, son Tim and his wife Carrie and their children, Tempestt, Rainer, and Magnus, her twin sister Sally Ann as well as sisters Sandra and Donna and brothers Jim and Mike. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere gratitude to those with Hospice of the Valley whose devotion to Mary's care and comfort was nothing less than a blessing from above. A memorial service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church located at 6701 East Osborn Road in Scottsdale on Tuesday, December 9th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014 (if questions, call 602-530-5900) or to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006, online at www.lungusa.org.
