GIRONE, Joseph J., Sr.

Joseph J. Girone, Sr. age 80 of Sun City West passed away - on December 7, 2003. He was born on August 19, 1923 in Vineland, NJ. He served his country honor-ably in the U.S. Army and is a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans', Glendale Post. Joseph was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for the Sun City office before his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Phoenix, AZ and a member of the Sun City West Recreational Men's Club. He is survived by his beloved wife Marie R. Girone; daughters Kathleen (Stephen) O'Meara, Cherylann Girone; sons Gene (Trudi) Girone, Joseph (Andrea) Girone and is preceded in death by his son Gary (Faye) Girone; 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild; sisters Caroline Esposito and Dolly Jacksec, brother John Girone. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Thursday, December 11, 2003 with the Scripture Service beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, AZ. Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 12, 2003 at St. Louis the King Catholic Church, 4331 W. Maryland Ave. Glendale, AZ. Interment National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ.
