CHAFEY, Norm

Chafey, Norm Norm Chafey, 66 of Buckeye, Arizona passed away December 5, 2003. He was born in Linton, Indiana on December 8, 1936. In the 1950's he was a guitar player for Keety and the Kats before moving from Indiana to Arizona in 1967. He worked at Motorola for 30yrs. He also served in the Marine Corp. He was a member of the NRA, American Legion & Victory Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Verla, daughter Pamela and son-in-law Leslie Fields, son John Chafey and daughter-in-law Renee, grandchildren Jolie & Brian Winking, Jennifer & Chris Redfield, Kristy Fields, Robert Martinez, & 6 great grandchildren Justin & Joshua Neely, Joseph Winking, Christopher & Matthew Redfield, and Alexis Martinez. Sister Joetta & brother-in-law Kenny Wilson, 3 sister-in-laws, 3 brother-in-laws & 20 nieces & nephews. Graveside service will be held on Fri. December 12th at 9am at Resthaven Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave. Memorial Service will be held Fri. December 12th at 11am at First Southern Baptist Church in Avondale, 1001 N. Central Ave. Flowers may be sent to Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale. 85301. Published in the Arizona Republic on 12/9/2003.
