RYON, James Dewey

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 05/07/2010 James Dewey Ryon died April 25, 2010, in Hixson, Tenn. He was born Feb. 21,1933, in Leavenworth, Kan. to Lorene Bradshaw and Harley Ryon. He was a longtime resident of White Mountain Lake before moving to Tennessee. He served in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a ceramic tile setter after 45 years. Dewey loved to fish. He was always ready with a joke and was quite the prankster. He was a generous and kind man who never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family and his loyal dog Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son. Survivors include his devoted wife, Mae; six children, five step-children and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held May 29 at 1 p.m. at the family home in Hixson, Tenn. Friends and family are welcome.
