Paul W. Hiegel, 87, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 24, 2010, surrounded by family at his sons' home. 
     
He was a veteran of WWII serving in the South Pacific in the Navy. He and his wife lived in the Lakeside/Pinetop area for 50 years where he built a successful plumbing business. He loved to garden and after retirement spent many winters in Yuma gold mining, hiking and enjoying the weather. "Though apart now, we are all looking to see him again. This is our promise."
     
Paul is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) of 59 years, daughter Brenda Lopez and Barbara Przybylski; son Paul Hiegel; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Herb Hiegel of Tacoma, Wash.
     
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. May 15 at Living Waters Community Church with his son-in-law Pastor Larry Przbylski and Pastor Clay Stidham officiating.
