'MA' HORTON, WELL KNOWN RESIDENT OF WITTMANN IS CALLED

WITTMANN- Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in Glendale for Mrs Melissa Horton, well-known resident of this community where she had lived many years and was familiarly known as "Ma". She passed away Sunday at a hospital in Phx following an illness of two weeks. Mrs Horton had suffered a broken ankle some time ago and that accident is believed to have hastened her death.

Surviving are the husband, W. J. Horton and tree sons, Earl of Russellville, Ark.; Homer Lee of Napa, Calif., and Edgar Bowers Phx. 

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jack K. Maben from the Adams-Whitney Chapel in Glendale with burial in Resthaven Park. Many friends from here attended the funeral.
