NEIER, Ruth Catherine

Neier, Ruth Catherine Ruth Catherine Neier of Sun Lakes, Arizona died Sunday, December 7, 2003 at her home following a lengthy illness at the age of 79. She was born June 1, 1924 in Venice, Illinois to the late Robert & Stella (Tonsor) Leu. Ruth lived in St. Louis, Missouri where she had a private physical therapy practice prior to moving to Klamath Falls, Oregon, where she owned and operated a physical therapy clinic. She leaves behind many dear friends in Klamath Falls. In 1985 she moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona and was active with St. Steven's Catholic Church serving with The Legion of Mary. Ruth is survived by her husband, Gene Neier; daughters: Dr. Jane Scopelite, Susan Anderson (John), Mary Green (Peter), Roberta Mank (Dave), Kathleen Schamel (Brian); sons: Gene E. Neier (Kathy), Richard Neier (Mary); brother, Robert Leu (JoAnn); 6 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and 1 niece. The funeral mass will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 11, 2003 at St. Steven's Catholic Church, 24827 S. Dobson Road, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248 with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M. and the Rosary Service at 9:15 A.M. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Mausoleum in Mesa. Contributions to St. Steven's Catholic Church or to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014 have been suggested by her family. Arrangements by Bueler Mortuary.
