SCHALM, Janet Latta

Schalm, Janet Latta Janet Latta Schalm, 69, died peacefully at home in Sun City - West, Arizona on Sunday December 7, 2003. She was the loving wife of Walter Charles Schalm, Jr., of Sun City West, AZ; dearest mother of W. Charles Schalm III (Jeanne), of Hawthorne Woods, IL, Linda Schalm Young (David), of Ahwatukee, AZ, Nancy Schalm Niemann (David) of Cary, IL; proud grandmother of Matthew, Brooke, Alex, Sabrina, Lauren and Sarah; beloved sister of James Latta (Gail), of Alpharetta, GA; and devoted daughter of Margaret Brownlee Latta and the late William Latta, of Kalamazoo, MI; fond aunt of nine nieces and nephews and cherished friend to many. Janet Schalm was a graduate of Michigan State University, a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, a member of Desert Garden United Church, and a Bridge Life Master. She loved to travel and was fortunate enough to spend several years living abroad (Tokyo, Japan; Taipei, Taiwan; and Johannesburg, South Africa) as well as various places within the United States. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at the Desert Garden United Church, 18818 N. 128th Ave. Sun City West, AZ at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2003. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that remembrances be made either to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St, Phoenix, AZ 85014 or American Cancer Society - Multiple Myeloma Research.
