ROLL, Bonnibel


Bonnibel RoIl, 74, of Phoenix, AZ, went home to be with her Savior on May 7th, 2003. She was born in Milford, Nebraska December 14, 1928 to Floyd and Ruth Ackerman Roll. Bonni devoted her entire life to ministries of the Assemblies of God Church. She spent 10 years as Nebraska's first full-time Sunday School Co-Director, taught teacher-training classes and directed Kids Kamps. She was called to the mission field of Ghana, West Africa where she started the Sunday School program. Taught at Southern Ghana Bible Institute and coordinated the Teaching Ministry and Literature Program for the 10 countries of West Africa. After 15 years in Ghana, she then transferred to Southeast Asia. She directed the Sunday School program in Thailand. She wrote literature and taught at Bangkok Theological Center. Created and conducted RICE (Real-life Institute of Christian Education) in the Philippines. After 12 years in Southeast Asia, she became involved with Church on the Street in Phoenix where she started the Sunday School program. Taught Bible Instruction classes, and devised and taught Treacher's Training (how to teach and preach). Also during this time, Bonni taught a Women's Bible study called W.O.W. (Women of the Word) at North Freeway Assembly of God Church for 11 years. She is survived by brother and sister-in-law Norman and Joann Roll; niece Linda Wallace, nephews Gary and Larry Roll and six grand-nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents. She will be missed by numerous friends whose lives were enriched because of her. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:30pm, with Funeral Services at 1:30pm, Saturday, May 10th, 2003, at Church on the Street, 902 East McKinley. Interment will be in Milford, Nebraska.
