Michael Eutimio Luna, 44, of Safford passed away Saturday, June 21. Michael was born in Safford on Nov. 23, 1962, to Orlando and Amelia Luna. He was raised and lived all of his 44 years in Safford, other than the time he spent serving our country in the Army.
Michael loved helping others. If someone needed help, he was there without question. He also enjoyed fishing. He was such a hard worker and was employed as a foreman by Western Industrial, where he was well-respected.
He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. His mom, Amelia Luna, preceded him in death. He is survived by Sharon Gonzales, partner of 19 years, four daughters, Kristin (Alen) Thompson, Kailee (Brent) Kouts, Ashley (Chris Sr.) Deason, Michelle Luna; two sons, Michael Luna Jr. and Mark Luna; his dad, Orlando "Tony" Luna; one brother, Ramon Luna; three sisters, Paula Luna, Rachel (Peter) Ruiz, all of Safford, and Gloria (Jose) Arguijo of California; four grandchildren, Dylan and Denise Crum, James Kouts and Christopher Michael Jr.
Friends may call Friday, July 27, 6-8 p.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Michael on Saturday, June 28, 10 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima, with interment next to his mother in the San Jose Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone in advance for all of their prayers.
