Eastern Arizona Courier, Safford, AZ Wednesday, November 7, 2007 Joe Pedroza Jr. passed away Oct. 28, 2007, at his home. Joe was born in Morenci on Dec. 3, 1949. He was a graduate of Safford High School. After health problems disabled him from working, he returned to Safford. Joe was a sports watcher and enjoyed fishing. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Pedroza; grandparents, Alejandro and Leanor Bertoldo; Aunty Lydia Bertoldo; and nephew, Chris Valenzuela. He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Santos; stepfather, Joe Santos; sisters, Vicki (Joey) Valenzuela, Frances (Jesse) Maldonado and Veronica Pedroza; brothers, Robert Santos, Jerry Santos and Tony Pedroza; and also many uncles, aunts and cousins. A rosary was recited Thursday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, and a Mass was held Friday, Nov. 2, at 8 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment was at San Jose Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morris Safford Funeral Home.
