The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 11/02/2004 Ellen Jepson Eagar, 92, died Oct. 27, 2004 at her home in Eagar. She was born Feb. 10, 1912 in Alpine. Ellen wrote poetry and left her family a treasure of poems. She liked to paint and compose music. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a teacher and a leader. Her survivors include sons Lewis Oscar Eagar and Edwin (Gloria) Eagar, both of Eagar, daughters-in-law Tenoha Eagar and Neita Eagar, 16 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Ross A. Eagar; sons Marvin Ross Eagar, Clifford Rodney Eagar; daughter-in-law Doris Eagar, grandchildren David Ross, Clifford Rodney and Tammy; three sisters and one brother. Funeral Services were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Eagar Stake Center on Main Street in Eagar, Saturday, Oct. 30. Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
