Clara Mae Thompson, 61, of Whiteriver died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 in Scottsdale.
She was born in Cedar Creek where she attended day school and later attended Theodore Roosevelt Boarding School. Following school she worked as a waitress. On Thanksgiving in 1960 she met Eddison Thompson, they were married Feb. 11, 1963, and made their home in Canyon Day where she was a homemaker.
Clara is survived by her husband, Addison Thompson, Sr.; sons, Addison Thompson, Jr., Ellison Thompson, Preston Thompson, David Thompson, Darren Thompson, Herbert Dale, Lonnie Thompson; daughters Sonia Thompson, Eva Cosen, Priscilla Altaha, Talia Swish Walker-Upton, Lucinda Case, Lucille Willis, Lulinda Willis; son-in-laws, Danny Pusher, Richard Cosen, Dean Altaha; daugher-in-laws Edith Thompson, Cheryl Thompson; brother Wes Armstrong; sisters, Ethel Thompson, Judy DeClay; step brothers Lee Malone, Maxwell Malone; step sisters Lavon Armstrong, Angela Bourke; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; god daughters Kayleen Hill, and Irene Tenijieth.
A two day wake will begin Thursday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the family home in Canyon Day with funeral services Saturday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Canyon Day Lighthouse Church. Interment will be held in Canyon Day Cemetery.
