Carl King, 65, died Nov. 21, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio where he grew up and graduated from high school. After school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country specializing in steel construction. He moved to Arizona in the early 1960's and met Mary Lewis. They fell in love and were married; and had four beautiful children, Mary, Carla, Robert and Edith. Carl worked in the logging industry for several years.
He also worked with UPS in Holbrook where he retired after more than 25 years of faithful service. In his free time Carl liked camping and fishing, but above all he spending time with the family. He was a hero to his daughter Mary. Carl was a good, hardworking, and honest man. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his four children, Mary (Eric) Garcia of Show Low, Carla (Gary) Winn of Phoenix, Robert (Maria) King of California, Edith (Larry) Madrid of Phoenix; mother, Katherine Dortch of Portsmouth, Ohio; two brothers, Don (Luella) King of Ohio, Roger King of Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Mario, Joey, Tiffany, Anthony, Crystal, David, Melanie, Nathan, Dylan, Brittney, Brandon, Monique; two great grandchildren, Mercedes, and Lexis.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov, 29, at Owens Mortuary in Show Low with visitation starting at 8:45 a.m.
