The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 11/30/2004 Jamie Katherine Dixon, 34, of Aubrey, Texas died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004 in Aubrey, Texas. She was born March 27, 1970 in Scottsdale to James and Patricia Crowther Mecey. Jamie married Harold Dean Dixon Feb. 18, 1988 in Lakeside. She was the branch manager for Community Credit Union in McKinney, Texas. Jamie is survived by her husband, Harold Dean Dixon of Aubrey, Texas; children Dalton Dixon, Courtney Dixon both of Aubrey; parents, James and Patricia Crowther Mecey of Lakeside; sister, Christy Mecey Allison of Leslie, Michigan; grandmother Lillian Crowther. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 at the First Baptist Church in Pinetop. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements. She made her home in Aubrey with her husband Harold Dixon and their two children: Courtney, 13 and Dalton Dean, 10. Jamie was a former Blue Ridge student, from kindergarten through twelveth grade. Jamie, formerly Jamie Mecey was the daughter of Pat and Jim Mecey of Lakeside. She had one sister Christy Allison. Jamie was married in 1989 to Harold Dixon of Joseph City. Harold served in the Air Force so they traveled a lot, stationed in Colorado and Caribou, Maine. She began her banking career in Caribou as a teller and was a Branch Manager and teaching manager for the Community Credit Union in Texas. They lived in Pinetop after Harold's discharge in the late 90's and their children also attended Blue Ridge where they were involved in many sports and activities. Jamie was first and foremost a loving wife and mother. She never missed a game that Courtney and Dalton played. Everyone knew if you saw one of the Dixon's, you usually saw all four. They were and are still a very close loving family. She was very loved and will be missed by all of her family. Harold and the children will remain in Aubrey, Texas where he works for the Cavanaugh Air Museum and the children are involved in school and sports. Funeral services were held in Aubrey, Texas Nov. 27, and also at the Pinetop Baptist Church in Pinetop Nov. 30. She was laid to rest in the Lakeside Cemetery. For those who have asked, a memorial fund for the children has been set up thru Community Credit Union in Plano, Texas.
