COLPAERT, Victor (Vic) Joseph

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 12/03/2004 Victor Joseph Colpaert, 67, died Nov. 30, 2004 at his home in Snowflake. He was born in Detroit, Michigan June 25, 1937. Vic grew up and attended school there. In 1977 he and his family moved to Mesa. In 1981 he met Joan Sunde and they were married in Feb. 1982. They moved to Snowflake in 1996 where they had been building a house for several years. Vic was finally able to live the life of a cowboy. He loved his children and family. He also enjoyed woodworking, football, hunting and anything outdoors. Most of all he loved spending time with his grand kids. Vic is survived by his wife, Joan Winn Colpaert of Snowflake; sons, Kenneth Andre Colpaert of Casa Grande, Roy Alan Colpaert of Gold Canyon; daughters Susan Elaine Zessin of Mesa, Vicki Lyn Caywood of Chandler; step daughter, Cheryl Lynn Watters of Phoenix; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Ewing of Michigan; brother, Arthur Colepaert of Michigan; and several family members of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Colpaert, mother, Margerite Minnie and step-father, Ray Minnie. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 4 at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake, with visitation from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to their favorite charity.
