Charles Stanley Daniel, 66, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004.
He was born in Hatch, New Mexico and was raised in Junction City, Oregon where he went through elementary and high school. After graduating from high school he joined the United States Air Force and served for four years. While in the service he was trained as a electrical and communications technician.
After his discharge from the service he worked for Western Electrical at the Missile Range at White Sands, New Mexico for several years. Charles then went into telephone communication with Southwestern Bell in El Paso, then to Holbrook in Sept. of 1974 to work for Continental Telephone Co. He retired in 1994. He then moved to Eagle, Colorado and worked for C.T.I. Telephone Co. until 2001.
Charlie enjoyed life and in his early years he loved to go dancing. He always enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved to take his children fishing. For the past nine years his dog Brindi has been his constant and devoted companion.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Bernice Daniel of Holbrook; son, Charles Scott Daniel of Phoenix; daughters, Kimberly Sue (Shel) Harrison Frisco of Texas, Carrie Lynne (Larry) Foos of Wichita, Kansas, Dawn (Anthony) Duran of Montrose, Colorado, Cynthia (James) Serna of Holbrook; mother, Lucy Daniel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Glenda Luthro of Phoenix; grandchildren, Brandon Dyson, Shel Harrison, Jr., Joshua Harrison, Gage Harrison, Daniel Foos, Abigail Hope Foos, Rebecca Foos, Timothy Gillespie, Nickolas " Nick" Duran, Alicia D. Serna, A.J. Serna, Reuben Serna, Hope Serna; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Endland, Jacob Duran.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Daniel and his sister Wanda Shumate.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Holbrook. Interment will be in the Holbrook Mausoleum.
