The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 12/07/2004 Franceine Pinneo, 75, died Friday, Dec 3, 2004 in Show Low. Fran was born in Burlington, Iowa in 1929. She grew up in Southeastern Iowa and graduated from Washington High School. After graduation she attended Business College. Fran met Jim Pinneo and followed him to McNary, where they were married in 1950. They had one daughter, Nikki. Fran was employed with the Apache Railway where she became a trainmaster, one of the only woman trainmasters in the entire country. She retired from the railroad and pursued her pastime of bowling. She was an avid bowler and also liked to read. Fran enjoyed watching the raccoons come up to her window and eat marshmallows; she loved animals, especially liking cats and dogs, Great Danes in particular. Fran was a strong witted wonderful wife, mother and friend. Fran is survived by her husband, Jim Pinneo of Pinetop; daughter, Nikki (Walter) Miller of Levine, AZ; three grandchildren, Ryann, Amber & Brook; one aunt, Georgia Pratt of Centralia, Missouri.
