Lorinda "Nastivar" Tenijieth, 64, went home to be with the Lord Dec. 3, 2004.
She was born April 14, 1940 in Whiteriver. Lorinda worked with the White Mountain Apache Tribe for 34 years. She was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Lorinda was passionate of others, always thinking of her family and making sure they were taken care of. She leaves special memories to those who were privileged to know her. Lorinda's favorite hobbies were sewing, Apache arts and crafts. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being outdoors, such as fishing and camping.
Lorinda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roy Tenijieth, Sr.; sons Butch Tenijieth, Gerald Tenijieth, Roy Tenijieth, Jr.; daughters, Coralee Tenijieth, Cyndee Tessay, Lorene Billy, Lora Faye Lavender, Bonnie Sue Tate, Phylene Burnette; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Hansen Nastivar; four sister, Louella Massey, Shirley Altaha, Rose Pinal, Virginia Burnette.
A two-night wake was held at Roy Tenijieth's residence in Diamond Creek. Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 10 at the North Fork Miracle Church with Pastor Herb Hemmings officiating. Interment will be at the Solid Rock Cemetery.
