Silver Creek Mortuary Taylor, Arizona June Sheryl Theabold Patzke After suffering a stroke some weeks ago, June passed away on April 30th, 2010. She is the daughter of Harry and Lenna Theabold, and was born on Dec 16th, 1937. For the past 23 years she has been the wife and companion of Paul Patzke. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Lucky and Renae Theabold of Mesa, Arizona, and her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Rolf Flake of Gilbert, Az. June has 5 biological children, one of whom was waiting with her parents to greet her as she passed from this life, her son, Dallas Shane Petersen, who proceeded her in death on March 18th, 1975. Her other 4 children and their spouses are, Brent and So Jung Petersen of Bakersfield, Ca., Brad and Louise Petersen of Mesa, Az., Craig and Danette Petersen of Snowflake, Az., and Brenda and Jared Willis of Snowflake, Az. Even though June and Paul married later in life after Paul's children were adults, June opened her heart to them and they to her - she is also survived by her other children, Sheila and John Shaw of Phoenix, Az., Sharon and Terry Smith, Alaska, and Scott and Cathy Patzke, Arizona. A total of 31 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also bid farewell to their beloved "Granny." Even though she moved away from time to time, June spent most of her adult life living the community of Show Low in the White Mountains of Arizona, a town and people that she loved. She knew and loved many of the residents of her neighborhood and community, leaving behind many life long friends. Indeed, of all of her qualities and attributes, those who knew June will agree, she loved people. Whether working as a hostess/maitre'd or standing in a grocery store line, June never met a stranger and could always start a pleasant conversation. In accordance with her wishes, there will be a graveside service only on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Show Low Cemetary at 11:30 AM.
