CONNOLLY, Dewain H.


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 12/14/2004 Dewain H. Connolly, 75, a part time resident of St. Johns died, Dec. 6 following a short illness. Dewain was born Aug. 2, 1929 in Holbrook to Noah and Mary Connolly. He owned and operated Connolly and Sons Cement Contractors Inc. for 45 years. Connolly was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a bishop, a High Counselor, a bishops counselor and many other callings. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Joy (Genevia) his children; Monty Martineau (Rhonda) of St. Johns, Wain Connolly, Kathleen Robinson (Noel), Roy Connolly (Helen), Gail Martineau (Lanore), Kathy Fenn (Ron), Doug Martineau (Leann) and Les Martineau (Pam). There were 44 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and two brothers, LaVerl Connolly of St. Johns and Bruce Connolly. He was preceeded in death by his parents and brothers Marion and Ray Connolly. Services was held Friday, Dec. 10 at the Century Gardens Ward Building at 633 S. Higley in Mesa with a visitation one hour prior to the services, and also Thursday Dec. 9 at Bunkers funeral Home. Interment were held at Mountain view Memorial Gardens 7900 E. Main St. Mesa immediately following the services.
