PINE, Chester Earl

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 12/28/2004 Chester Earl Pine, Eagar, passed away Dec. 23, 2004 at his home in Eagar. He was born 96 years ago on Nov. 4, 1908 in Gunn City, Missouri to John Wesley and Bertha Mae Cummins Pine. Chester spent the last 62 years of his life in Arizona. He was an equipment operator and mostly worked in road construction. His survivors include daughter Mary Ann (Son) Gibbons, Eagar; son Eugene Earl (Sue) Pine, Camp Verde; sisters Erma Johnson, Neb. and Ethel Saunders, Mo. Also eleven grandchildren, 43 great-grand children and 24 great-great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife Bertha M. Pine, his parents, three brothers, four sisters, one grandson and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 28, at the Eagar Stake Center, Eagar at 2 p.m. Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary, Eagar, is in charge of arrangements.
