Lois Pearl Poteet Whiting, 90, of Eagar, died Dec. 26, 2004 at her home. 
     
She was born Oct. 9, 1914 in Curtis, Nebraska to Willard Poteet and Mary Ellen Osterhoudt. She was married to Eben Holden Whiting for 41 years before he passed away on May 25, 1976. Lois was an elementary school teacher for 39 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints, currently residing in the Amity Ward, Eagar Stake. 
      
Her survivors include two daughters, Gwen Carol Whiting, Eagar and Bonnie Jean Rogers, Springerville; one son, Jeffery Holden Whiting, Queen Creek; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers, Benjamin Poteet, Camarillo, California and Robert Pursel, Cerritos, California.
      
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 29 at the Amity Ward Chapel in Eagar.
