HARRIS,
Gladys M.
The White Mountain Independent,
Show Low, Arizona - 12/31/2004
Gladys M. Harris died Dec. 7, 2004.
Gladys was born Feb. 18, 1921 in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania. She moved to White Mountain Lakes in 1984. She was active on committees of the White Mountain Lakes Home Owners Association for Unit 18 and was an active member of the White Mountain Christian Church in Show Low, handling some of the bookkeeping, attending the nursery, and playing the organ.
She enjoyed her time spent organizing the White Mountain Lakes Lending Library and getting together with the "Out to Lunch Brunch" at the area eateries. She was thankful for her many friends who have kept in touch since she had to leave White Mountain Lakes. Their good wishes made her illness easier to bear.
Gladys would have stayed in White Mountain Lakes forever, but her condition meant that it was best for her to be with her family. She died peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Drena and John Kingman in Austin, Texas.
Gladys is survived by her sister Daisy; daughter Drena; four granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Harris and her daughter Elaine Zepeda.
Funeral services will be private.
