LOUIS BANEGAS
A former resident of Wickenburg and a life-long resident of Arizona, Louis Banegas, 78, of Phoenix, died last week in Phoenix.
He was born in Signal, Ariz. and he had been a chef.
Mr. Banegas worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Prescott for 23 years, and for the City of Phoenix for 14 years.
Surviving are his widow, Mary Ann; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Neuberger; two sons, Robert and Louis, Jr.; two step-sons, Bernie and Manuel Medina; a brother, two sisters, 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were Tuesday morning in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Louis Banegas
Mass for Louis Banegas, 78, of 1239 E. Mercer Lane, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 231 N. Tegner, Wickenburg.
Mr. Banegas died Feb. 2, 1978, at Medicenter.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne; children Martha Neuberger, Robert and Louis Jr., step-sons, Bennie and Manuel Medina; a brother and two sisters; and 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Banegas lived in Wickenburg for 16 years before moving to Phoenix. Before that he lived in Prescott, where he worked at the Veteran Administration Hospital for 23 years and for the city for 14 years.
Wickenburg Funeral Home handled arrangement.
Note: Per his daughter, he worked for the City of Prescott, not Phoenix.
