The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 30, 1978, p. 15 ALTA A. CARROLL The former owner and operator of the Horseshoe Café, Alta A. Carroll, died in a nursing home here on March 21. She was 89 years old. Her birthplace was Carr City, Colo. Services were last Friday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home. The Rev. Bert a Follmar of Calvary Baptist Church officiated. Surviving are two daughters, Bernice Villa of Wickenburg and Lorene Madrill of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
