The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 01/04/2005 Stacey Mills, 61, died Dec. 23, 2004 in California, after complications from lung-transplant surgery. Stacey was born Aug. 8, 1943 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was a specialist crane operator and worked construction. In the early 80s, he was with the starting construction of the Springerville Generating Plant. He met Violet Cordova while residing in Springerville and the two of them were married in 1985. Stacy continued to work construction, which took them out of the area to Tucson. Stacey's survivors include his wife, Violet, Tucson; step-children Leslie Parkinson, Tucson, Jason Baca, Springerville; one granddaughter, Misty Dawn Mills, Little Rock, Arkansas; and two sisters Lorraine Jones, Virginia and Betty McCullum, California. His parents and son, Ernie precedes him in death. A memorial service was held at the Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary Chapel, Eagar, Monday, Dec. 27.
