LOUGHRAN, Mary Marguerite


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 01/14/2005 Mary Marguerite Loughran, 78, died Jan. 10, 2005 at her home in Globe. She was born in Renova, Pennsylvania and has lived in Arizona for 54 years. Mary was a teacher at Miami High School, East Globe, Copper Rim and on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona. She was a member of the Arizona Education Association, Jr. Women's Club and the Wednesday Book Club. She attended University of Arizona, enjoyed collecting stamps, traveling, reading and attending cultural events. Mary started the nativity scene in the cave on North Broad Street and spent summers in Greer for many years. She is survived by her husband Edward Loughran of Globe; daughters Marguerite Loughran of Globe and Sheila Gardom of Eagar; sons Kevin Loughran of Moencopi and Michael Loughran of Tucson; sister, Ann Groves of Globe; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Patrick Loughran. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe.
