Gornall, Lillian Dorothy "Dot"
Lillian Dorothy "Dot" Gornall, 75, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grand mother, died December 10, 2003 of complications from ovarian cancer. She was born on a farm in Lonedell, Missouri on January 11, 1928. Deaf since age two, Dot loved farm living where she rode horses, raised chickens and played endlessly over many acres of farm and woodland. A retired Postal worker, Dot loved to embroider, smock and quilt. Her cozy cabin in the mountains reflected the country charm of her work. When she and her husband were stricken with terminal illness, they endured together and drew strength from their family and deep faith in the Lord: "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Rev. 21:4. Dot will be remembered for her gentle smile and loving heart. We love you mom and can't wait till we celebrate eternity with you and dad. She is survived by her children: Victoria Brunetto, Richard Gornall and Tracy Moore; grandchildren: Heather, Andrew, Ashley, Hayley, Jared, Olivia, Zachary and Jennifer; and great grandsons Christopher and Sean. Donations in her memory can be sent to: Arizona Deaf Senior Citizens Coalition, c/o Charles Krampe, 5308 W. Acapulco Lane, Glendale, AZ 85306 to build Deaf senior housing; or Hospice Family Care, 1550 S. Alma School Rd., Ste 102, Mesa, AZ 85210. Memorial Service Sunday, December 14, 2003 at 1:00 pm, Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care Chapel, 400 S. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ.
