Goldschlag, Ethel Ethel Goldschlag, 95, of Spring Hill, Florida, died Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at the Isidora ALF in Spring Hill. Born in Kingston, N.Y., she resided in Cementon, N.Y.; Catskill, N.Y., and retired to Gulfport, Florida in 1973. She was a business woman, owning the Smart Shop and Boutique Dress and Beauty Salon in Catskill; and Valley Casuals in Catskill and Kingston. She was a charter member of the Elks Club in Catskill and a member of Temple Israel in Catskill. Wife of the late Edward Goldschlag. Predeceased by a brother, Sam Poplock, and two sisters, Betty Fine and Rose Lipson. Survivors include a Brother, Albert Poplock of Catskill, 2 sons, Eugene of Spring Hill FL; Arnold of Scottsdale, Ariz; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great- great-grandchild. Arrangements were made through Merritt Funeral Home in Spring Hill. Services will be at Temple Israel, Catskill, N.Y., date to be announced. Published in the Arizona Republic on 12/14/2003.
