Bettie Louise Kendall Ocepek, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed peacefully into God's arms on Friday morning, December 12, 2003 at the age of 82. 

Born on June 1, 1921 in Beardstown, Illinois, she is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years Lawrence Michael Ocepek, cherished children David B. Ocepek and Deborah J. Stoner, sister Joyce Maher, brother Earl (Betty) Kendall, treasured grandchildren Michael, Amy, Nicholas and Christopher, dear great-grandson Simon, sister-in-law Floris Kendall, nieces Dolores Stover, Lola (Jerry) Easley, Bobbie (Donny) Wallace, nephews John (Pam) Carroll, Kendall (Kaye) Carroll, Charles Bruce Kendall and Larry Lee Kendall. Her mother, Florence Crim, sister Maxine Ratliff, father Earl Kendall, Srey, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix 85014 or to the charity of one's choice.   

Published in the Arizona Republic on 12/14/2003. ., and brother Charles Kendall predeceased her. Visitation from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, December 14. Service will be held Monday, December 15 at 1 PM., Hansen Mortuary 8314 North 7th Street Phoenix. In keeping with Bettie's lifetime of philanthropy, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Vall
