BOWMAN, Jasper F. (Jack)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, December 16, 2003 Jasper F. "Jack" Bowman, 78, of Scottsdale, passed away on - December 14, 2003. Jack was born on February 22, 1925 in Terra Alta, West Virginia. Jack worked for ACIC (Automobile Club Insurance Company) for 10 years in OH and then transferred to Phoenix, AZ in 1962 as Claims Mgr. and Outside Representative. He retired from ACIC in 1992 after 40 years of service. He served in the Marine Corp 1st Marine Division for 8 years during WWII, was an Honorary Member of Knights of Columbus, served as Chairman of the Insurance Arbitration Committee "73, President of AZ Bird Dog Club, served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jack was married and is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jean Bowman, daughter Vickie Boggs of Scottsdale, AZ, sons Jeffrey of Joshua, TX, and Michael of Charlotte, FL, sister Norma Jean Walker of Somerset, PA, brothers Robert of Littlecreek, TN, Edward "Buck" of Pleasantshade, TN, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. His family and friends will miss him greatly. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 from 5-8pm, with a 7:00 Rosary Service at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 18, 2003 at 12:30pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3801 N. Miller Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Eckstein Center, 9494 E. Becker Ln., Scottsdale, AZ 85260-6720.
