HAESE, Wyndle R.


Haese, Wyndle R. Wyndle R. Haese passed away on Friday morning, December 12, 2003 at the age of 88. Wyndle was born in Ehlmendorf, Texas on October 16, 1915. The son of Adolph Louis Haese, Wyndle excelled as an athlete and played in the minor leagues in Texas in the period of 1935 to 1940 and also served with the WPA. Wyndle married Marie Fothergill on May 25, 1941, a marriage which lasted for 63 years. As a World War II Veteran, Mr. Haese served for 3 1/2 years in the U.S Army and was honorably discharged in 1945. After the War, Mr. Haese founded a number of enterprises in the late forties and fifties, culminating in a move to Arizona to join in the construction boom of the early 60's in the Phoenix metropolitan area. After working with the major construction firms of the period, including Womack, AVCO, and as a preferred builder for Western Savings and other lending institutions, Wyndle then, in the 1960's and 1970's, founded the predecessor entities to The Haese Corporation that now has holdings both nationally and internationally. As a contractor, developer and community leader, Mr. Haese developed, constructed and built a significant portion of the Central Phoenix area which now adjoins the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. His family will always remember him as a loving and caring husband and father. Wyndle is survived by his wife, Marie Haese, five sons, and six grandchildren, and three great grandchiIdren. His sons' accomplishments and contributions have included, service in Vietnam as a distinguished and highly decorated U.S. Air Force pilot, two sons have served in various capacities with the City of Phoenix Police Departments, another son is presently in corporate finance in Washington, DC, while yet another has founded an international construction and engineering law firm based out of Boston, Massachusetts which services some of the nation's top engineering and construction firms. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, Arizona and a visitation will be open to all friends on Friday evening from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm December 19, 2003. Contributions are being taken to honor the doctors and staff at Mayo Hospital for their dedication to Mr. Haese in his last years.
