The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, December 16, 2003 Leonard (Len) P. Johnson, 78, beloved husband and father, passed away on Dec. 12, 2003. A Rosary will be held Thur, Dec. 18th at 7pm at Tempe Mortuary, 405 E. Southern Ave. Tempe, AZ. A Funeral Mass will be held Fri. Dec. 19th at 2 pm at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 S. Rural Rd. Tempe. Len was born in Duluth, MN, raised in Wakefield MI. and resided in Tempe, AZ. since 1956. He was an Army-Air Force Veteran and a longtime radio and sports broadcaster covering ASU and valley sports teams. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Joanne, his eight children: Sheila Johnson (Scott Refner), Robert (Karen), Bruce (Linda), Rita (Don) Stouffer, David (Alice), Brian (Sue), Greta, and Craig (Susan), and nine special grandchildren.
