BOSWELL, Jacquelyn


Boswell, Jacquelyn Jacquelyn Boswell, born 1933 in Paducah, KY, died December 15 after a 3-year illness of ALS. She is survived by her life-long partner, Elayne Achilles; her sister, Ann Putnam, of St. Helena, CA; and her brother Ben Boswell, III of France. She earned her doctorate in music education from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. A nationally recognized music educator, Dr. Boswell was a professor at Wichita State University, Temple University, and ASU until her retirement in 1997. She has touched the lives of innumerable doctoral students, as well as colleagues, family, friends. Contributions in Jackie's name may be sent to the ALS Association, AZ Chapter, 5040 E.
