HUFF, Elizabeth Orr

Huff, Elizabeth Orr Elizabeth Orr Huff, 95, of Mesa Az, passed away on Tuesday evening Dec. 16, 2003. She was born on July 11, 1908 in El Paso, Texas to William and Jesse Trevilla Orr. She was an artist, wife and mother, teaching painting at the Mesa Arts Center and operating her own art studio. Her paintings adorned the homes of John Wayne, among others. She was a member of the P.E.O. sisterhood, a charter member of Desert Club, a member of the Mesa Southwest Museum Guild, a board member of the Friends of Mesa Arts Center, and early supporter of the Mesa United Way, member of the Farm Bureau and helped to found the Mesa Art League and Sirrine Adult Daycare Center. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Julia Huff of Alexandria, VA.; four grandchildren, Caralee (Robert) Price of Mesa; Robert (Cheryl) Ogden of Mesa; Cathryn (Evan) Wooton of VA and David (Laura) Huff of Michigan; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
