BACAN, Lee F.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, December 21, 2003 Lee F. Bacan, born Oct. 29, 1928 in Manson, Iowa. He passed away on Dec. 9, 2003 at the Banner Baywood Center in Mesa, AZ. Lee was the son of the late Andrew Franklin and Grace Carsten Bacan. He graduated from Manson High School in 1946. Lee worked for his father in the Bacan Garage, played in the band for 40 years and worked as a linotype operator for a number of newspapers. He moved to AZ in the 70's. Lee was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge I O O F. He is survived by his son Scott Bacan of Aurora, CO; daughter, Cynthia Beinyon of AZ; sister Marian Kalk of Plymouth, WI; and a brother, Merrill Bacan of Sierra Vista, AZ; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. His ashes will be sent back to Manson, Iowa to rest forever.
