BEDORE,
Catherine Mohr (Kitty)
Bedore, Catherine Mohr "Kitty"
Catherine "Kitty" Mohr Bedore passed peacefully into her next incarnation on December 11, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona. Born January 4, 1935 to Henry and Norma Mohr, she attended Kenosha High School, where she met and married Joseph Bedore and settled in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. An avid garage sale shopper, Kitty achieved nirvana in the 1960's when she established her own consignment store on Main Street in Twin Lakes. In 1974, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she and Joe divorced and Kitty was employed for 20 years (close to the bargains again) as a bookkeeper for K-Mart. Kitty lived a very independent life in later years, trolling for garage sales and traveling to visit her children. She is remembered for her unique personality, her wit and sense of humor, her stoicism, and her reverence for bingo and nickle slots. Despite many emotional and physical challenges, she dedicated her final years to growing as a person, striving to understand, forgive, and be forgiven. Kitty is preceded in her journey by her parents. She is survived by a sister Mary Vaughn of Kenosha; an uncle Alex Mohr (Pat) of Zion, Illinois; six loving children, Joe Bedore, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, Michael Bedore (Debra) of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dawn Bedore Proctor (Dean) of Madison, Wisconsin, Diana Bedore of Flagstaff, Arizona, Douglas Bedore of Encinitas, California, and David Bedore (Jenn) of Encinitas, California; six grandchildren; good friend Linda Miller of Twin Lakes, and many nieces, nephews and friends in both Arizona and Wisconsin. At Kitty's request, there will be no formal service. Her cremated remains will be buried in Kenosha, Wisconsin. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. We love you, Mom.
