GERIG, Mildred Grace

Gerig, Mildred Grace Mildred Grace Gerig 95, of Glendale, AZ, passed away on December 16, 2003 at the Glencroft Care Center. She was born of missionary parents Peter and Mary Eicher in Akola, India on December 22, 1907. Mildred was a devoted wife and mother and served God with her husband Jared F. Gerig for almost 74 years. She was a faithful companion and coworker and shared greatly in their ministry, whether in the churches they served, or at Fort Wayne Bible College, IN where her husband was President. Her musical talents and gift of hospitality were dedicated to the Lord's service and greatly used by God to bless others. Their last pastorate was at Grace Bible Church in Sun City, AZ where they began that ministry at the age of 70, enjoying 10 wonderful years with the people of Grace, and finally retiring at 80 years of age. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Wes and Mary Carolyn Gerig of Fort Wayne, IN; Gwen and Art Riewald of Sun City West, AZ; and Bill and Joyce Gerig of Glendale, AZ; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at D.O. McCombs Funeral Home (Fairfield Ave.), Fort Wayne, IN on Monday, December 22, 2003. A Memorial Service will be held in Glendale, AZ in the auditorium of the Glencroft Retirement Community on January 10, 2004 at 10:00 A.M.
